Giveaway of Ripple the Twine

Good afternoon! Hope everyone was ready to be back to work after such a lovely Mother’s Day weekend!  Here in Phoenix this past weekend temperatures were in the high nineties but will be slinking towards the door of 110 degrees by mid-week this week.  Yes, the dry heat actually does make a difference.  But also, yes, 110 degrees is still flipping hot!

And you know what that means right?  It means people will be getting ready to go swimming, head for the coastal beaches or just relax inside the air conditioning for the next couple months.  So I ask, what better way to relax than a nice light-hearted and plucky Chick-Lit novel?

I’m going out on a limb here and saying that you’ll enjoy my book for these lazy, hazy, hot and crispy days of late spring and early summer.  Grab a cold glass of whatever you enjoy – I’ll likely be pouring a frosty cold mug full of some refreshing light beer in my house – and read all about Sara Quinn and her friends in Ripple the Twine.

It couldn’t be easier to do that either, for the second half of May I’ll be collecting entries for a giveaway of one copy of my very first full length Chick-Lit genre fiction novel Ripple the Twine.

Yea!

A Tomboy-meets-Townie love story and tale about how friendship can save your life. Sara Quinn is a Sportswriter from Boston and over the past year she has started to earn major respect in the local market. In the process, however, she abandoned her personal relationships and put her emotions in the box. Regardless of her self-imposed timeout, a friend introduces her to Ben. With blue eyes, black hair and a brogue, he's her ultimate triple threat. But they connect just as Sara learns that her friends are facing heavy emotional crises. She starts offering advice, becoming a rock for everyone else, and in the process Sara unearths her own long dormant insecurities. But a bag of peanut butter cups and a hockey game won't fix her issues. She's got to move past her emotional past without hiding behind her career for once. She needs her friend's support as much as they need hers and the four will quickly discover that, when they stick together, their offense is virtually unstoppable.

1st Edition Chapbook by Jenn Flynn Shon "Trying for the Moon"

My first collection of non-rhyming, prose style poetry is now available for purchase!  I've been writing poems for about 25 years and these are the ones I feel best represent the makings of my first collection - "Trying for the Moon"

The information below is direct from my online shop where the first 100 people can purchase a signed copy of my work.  PLEASE NOTE: If you are family let's talk before you click on Add to Cart :-)

Details for where to purchase can be found beneath the description below and on the right sidebar under BUY MY WRITING

"Trying for the Moon" is a collection of 13 poems presented in a 5x7" chapbook format with a color front and back cover. Cover is heavyweight cardstock and is printed at home on my Pixma printer. Pages for the original are printed on 92 lb bright white copy paper on the same printer.

The book includes a dedication page, copyright page, blank on purpose and 13 pages of non-rhyming poetry, plus the covers. Poetry styles include prose (stream of consciousness, stream of sub-consciousness) and haiku. The book is named after the photo of the same name that I took one night while attempting to snap a picture of the moon from the road. The swirling lights in chaos are a perfect representation of me.

I will be creating 100 copies in the First Edition run of this book. All 100 will include a color cover, photocopied pages and can be signed, just ask in the instructions to seller at checkout. All books are printed on demand, please allow 3 days for production and shipping.

The books will be folded and edge cut with three flat staples to bind the book; pamphlet style. This is a single signature book.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to convo me. The photos above represent the front and back cover.
